Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your Munasabat Jo account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and what is kept.

Delete from the app

Open the app and sign in.
Go to Profile.
Choose Delete account and confirm.

Delete from the website

Sign in at https://munasabat-jo.com.
Open your Profile page.
Choose Delete account and confirm.

Start a verified privacy request and choose "Delete my account and data". We email a confirmation link to the address on the account; once you confirm, we delete the account. You can also write to [email protected] from the account's email address.

What happens

Your sessions are signed out and your account is disabled immediately.
Deleted immediately: your email, password hash, name, profile picture, default city, saved occasions, reminders, follows, notification settings, device and push tokens, and usage identifiers.
Deleted within 30 days: the remaining account record and linked data.
Messages to support: names and emails are removed from our contact records when you delete your account; the text may be kept up to 24 months after resolution only where needed to handle abuse or legal claims.
Published occasions: occasions you submitted may stay online, attributed to the organization or to "deleted user". To have an occasion removed, contact us with its link.
Kept for legal or security reasons: records we are required to keep, such as moderation and audit logs without your personal details, are kept only for the period required.

Download your data first

Before deleting, you can download everything we hold about you from Profile → Privacy → Download my data.
